The Embassy of Estonia to Finland organized a seminar in cooperation with the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute of the International Centre for Defence and Security on 22 March in Helsinki. At the seminar, EFPI Director Kristi Raik presented the EFPI/ICDS report „The Nordic-Baltic Region in the EU27: Time for New Strategic Cooperation“.
Comments on the topic were given by Teija Tiilikainen, Director of Finnish Institute of International Affairs, and Kalle Kankaanpää from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. The discussion was moderated by Ambassador Harri Tiido. The speakers and participants engaged in a lively discussion on the prospects for a more proactive Nordic-Baltic cooperation in the EU, especially in the field of security and defence.
